Transition
Speed:
Time wasted in the transition area is unrecoverable. Practice your transitions before the race! Stay organized; know exactly what you need and where to find it.
The Wall:
Remove your stiff soled
biking shoes and climb barefoot or change back into your running shoes before
attempting the wall. The stickier
rubber on the bottom of the running shoes will help obtain traction on the
wall.
Orienteering:
Use landmarks like the
lake or parking lot to help orient the map.
Use the map scale to
approximate the distant to the marker and then use this distance as a guide.
